Everything worth asking first

15 questions across 4 groups — including what isn’t built yet, which is the part most FAQs leave out.

The basics

What Fanpay is and what it costs

  • A link-in-bio page that also runs the business behind it. One page carries your links, a wishlist, tips and a media kit brands can price against — and the dashboard behind it tracks the offers, the deliverables and the money.

  • Instagram, X, YouTube, Telegram, Facebook, LinkedIn and email links. You can connect more than one account on the same platform — a main and an alt — and price them separately, because a 20k account that converts is worth more than a 200k one that doesn't.

  • Yes. The free plan covers your bio page, links, socials and tips. Paid plans add a custom domain and deeper analytics. Everything is month to month — there's no contract and no setup fee.

  • No. Payments run through Dodo Payments as the merchant of record, which means they handle the invoicing and sales tax and pay you out. You need a bank account and the identity details Dodo asks for at payout setup.

Getting paid

Payouts, fees, and when money moves

  • Buyers pay through the platform, never into your DMs. Dodo Payments is the merchant of record: it takes its cut before you see the money, and the balance shows you what's cleared, what's still held, and what's due on the next payout.

  • Payouts run on fixed cycle dates rather than on demand, and a balance under the minimum rolls into the following cycle. Tips release as soon as they clear; promotion money releases when the brand approves the post, or automatically after the approval window.

  • The merchant of record's cut comes off each payment before it reaches your balance — every figure labelled 'net' in the dashboard is after that, and the gross beside it is what the buyer paid. Your payments page shows the exact percentage against real rows.

  • Nothing releases while a dispute is open. If you miss the delivery date the brand is refunded automatically; if the brand goes quiet, the placement auto-approves so they can't sit on your money.

For brands

Booking a creator through Fanpay

  • Open their media kit at fanpay.app/@name/work and verify with your work email. Rates are kept off the public page so creators can quote properly, but there's no call to book and no form to chase — the verification opens them.

  • Because the gate exists to tell a brand from a fan. A free-provider address gets turned away with an explanation; a company domain gets straight through.

  • No. Payment is held from the moment you accept until you approve the placement, and a missed delivery date refunds you without you having to ask. A wrong or deleted post opens a dispute, and nothing releases until it's settled.

  • They're priced add-ons, quoted before you agree to anything — along with rush turnaround and extra revision rounds. The total you see when you send the offer is the total.

  • Not yet. Media kits, gated rates and work-email access are built and you can use them today. The brand workspace — several bookings in one place, paid from one account — is what we're building now.

For agencies

Managing more than one creator

  • Not yet, and we'd rather say so than sell it. Today each creator has their own page and rate card, which already gives your brands a media kit to price against. A single roster workspace with shared rate cards and split payouts is planned after the brand side.

  • That's the intent: one invoice to the brand, split to each creator and your commission on the same payout cycle. It doesn't exist yet — the waitlist on the agencies page is how you shape what gets built first.
